This two-floor restaurant in Old Brompton Road describes itself as serving ‘Progressive Indian Food’, based in classical Indian cooking but employing a mixture of traditional and locally sourced ingredients. The menu is divided into Biryanis, Classic Collection Curries and Mains, with separate sections for breads, side dishes and desserts. From 5.30-7pm there is a set menu offering two courses for £15.95, and a tasting menu of six courses cost £35 per person or £55 with specially paired wines. There is an extensive wine list with some excellent bottles from both Europe and the New World, and a cocktail list featuring 14 original drinks, many of them emphasising fruit and/or spices.
