Time Out says
Coffee Jar opened in 2013 when owner Maria quit her finance job to focus on baking over banking, and Camdenites have been embracing the place enthusiastically ever since. There’s seating for just ten people, with minimal decor that makes use of large quantities of reclaimed scaffolding board. The house beans come from Monmouth, with a changing roster of guest. Our espresso came from the hand of a barista who worked meticulously, right down to warming the cup with a puff of steam to ensure a properly hot shot. The food offering is sharply focused: a few sandwiches, plus baked goods both bought in and produced on-site. Add on friendly service and you’ve got a winning formula. We can see why most of the customers during our visit were loyal regulars.

We, me and my husband,go to this lovely place more than two years, almost everyday sometimes even 2 times per day. And today just noticed that people who even not regular there, use loyal cards for free cup of coffee, so little but nice thing. But imagine no one!!! for all that period of time ever mention the card to us. So of course we asked why and can we get one, and we know every staff by name and Sarah (the barrister) said in a quiet rude manner "no you can get it only if you buy coffees!" but we just were there couple of hours ago and drinked our usual espressos, and when she greeted us,she even said:"oh, nice to see you guys second time of the day!". So disappointed by greediness of the people whom you wanted support as local business so wouldn't go there anymore and if you anyway decide to go, please ask the card for yourself to avoid such an awkward and rude replies, may be you will experience even worse if you are not regular?!...
Fabulous coffee shop. Always have great conversations and coffee would highly recommend popping in if your passing by!
The best ever coffee with a home made banana bread sitting on the bench watching people go by, smiling & chatting. Life in a nutshell!
The coffee shop bang on in the middle of Camden feeling like the little centre point of the little village - the oasis in the frantic city!
The coffee jar serve what I have found to be the best coffee in Camden, having worked in the area for 11 years I've tried them all. The staff are always warm and friendly and you are always treated with a smile. Their homemade treats are second to none and the banana bread is to die for
Best coffee I've tried in London. Consistent quality and super friendly service in an independent cafe.
Brilliant staff, lovely coffee and food.
Love the lemon cake and chicken sandwich.
