I have been to Christopher’s Place branch of Cote Brasseries on numerous occasions: for lunch, afternoon drinks, coffee, dinner. It really is very conveniently located for when you are shopping at the nearby Selfridges. It’s up a small alley from the open space area of the Barrett Street nearby (that’s where Carluccio’s is), and for some reason it never gets crowded and you even stand a chance of nabbing an outside table in summer. I consider their food a bargain. They have a choice of set menus, but even when I order from the main menu I always get a feeling I would have been willing to pay more. I like how the menu is organised into lighter bites and the more substantial courses. An all time winner for me is their Niçoise salad: it comes with real tuna steak, not tinned tuna. Every time I’ve ordered it so far tuna was perfectly seared on the outside, pink on the inside. Great value, flavour and presentation.

The food and service were exceptional and fantastic value for money (we had the set price menu but the normal menu wouldn't make a huge dent in bank balance either). Would happily have paid double for the experience we had! I had a delicious smoked salmon starter, followed by chunky fishcakes.

love this chain! great food with brilliant service and arrives swiftly after ordering. The starters are my favourite but such a variety on the menu everyone is bound to find something!
