You won't pay attention to this amazing place near Haggerston overground from the first glance but when I was looking to try a new brunch place in the area I came across it. Reading about it I simply wanted to try it and I surely didn't regret it. It might be literally on Kingsland road but they've created a 'protected' little yard with a roof surrounded with wooden fences that it feels like you're somewhere far away from the city's busy streets. So next time you're wandering near Haggerston/Dalston or Regent's canal and you're looking for a tasty brunch alternative on a budget, no matter the weather (bonus if it is sunny) please do try Curio Cabal. Their brunch is a small twist to the 'ordinary' flavours (avocado, sourdough bread, eggs and so on), it's tasteful and the portions are good. They also do some great iced coffee for the warm days. Staff is always so nice and friendly. Surprisingly it wasn't very busy but we went late on a Sunday which is probably the reason. Me and my friends loved being there. Definitely recommended!

I've lived near Curio Cabal for years, and I'm gutted that I didn't try it sooner. Their veggie breakfast was everything I'd hoped for when I stumbled in last Sunday, stressed and starving. Homemade beans, hash brown, spinach and cheddar sausage and crunchy sourdough were washed down by a particularly good flat white - in fact I preferred it to the one I had at the Allpress Roastery later that day. They've also got freshly made smoothies for a pleasingly reasonable £3.50. I think we're going to be good friends.
