On sunny days I would love coming to Devonshire square on my lunch breaks, sit on the benches and enjoy the sun and after work hours were often spent at the same place getting drinks.

That’s why I was delighted when Devonshire palace got renovated, it’s a perfect spot to socialize. Bring on summer days!

I'm a big, big fan of the Drake & Morgan group. They sure know how to run a bar/restaurant and the Devonshire Terrace is a stylish venue that's just been given a very impressive upgrade indeed.

Firstly, it's really big. In addition to their interiors, they have 3 outdoors spaces which are perfect for Al fresco dining. The menu is classically British and changes every 6 months with a seasonal menu to go on top of that and, they can cater for events including business and weddings.

It's a bit secreted away from the heaving city crowd which means it's not going to be ram- packed come Friday evening and the crowd here will tend to be those with a penchant for the finer things in life.

Another fab addition to the Drake & Morgan group.

I came here the other day for their relaunch and had a good old gander around the place. I love!

There's so much outdoor seating which will be lovely in the midst of summer!

The indoors in adorned with faux fur and gentle pastle colours which brightens the place nicely.

The cocktails I tried there were all very delicious and well balanced!

Honestly I can see myself spending many summer night and days here with the ladies.

Devonshire Terrace is back after extensive refurbishment and it looks great, although the feeling is still a bit like at a hotel bar. The spring menu is not too original but the food, including salmon salad, mackerel pate, fish fingers sandwich and well made and their brownies are to die for. It’s open from early mornings, so you can check the place out before it gets really busy. The best part of it is the actual terrace in the secluded Devonshire Square. It’s under a roof, so you can enjoy it even on rainy days, sipping you G&T wrapped in the lovely green blanket.

Devonshire Terrace has recently undergone a makeover and it looks fab!  Just in time for the summer, this venue is a great choice for drinks when the weather starts to get a bit better - which will be soon right?!?  The décor is fresh and clean - a great choice for some after work drinks.

I made it to Drake & Morgans reopening after their magical makeover. I witnessed champagne dresses (yes that's really a thing), walking trees, which i found quite scary - imagine being a approached by tall moving tree offering free hugs. The new vibe is great and features a  fresh spring menu, must tries include the hot smoked salmon salad and brownie for desert. Great place for after work drinks I can imagine how busy it'll be during "summer" with a great outdoor indoor terrace.

Popped in here for a quick feed before we delved into London Wine Week and hoped to have a some wine with Devonshire Terrace as well as they’re part of the London Wine Week event; unfortunately, they stop serving the London Wine Week wine special at 6:30pm. We felt that this was a bit odd given that it’s a week long event and most people would miss out if they don’t finish work at an earlier time.

What we had:

  • Wagyu Burger with blue cheese & tomato chutney
  • Sirloin Steak Sandwich with horseradish, mayonnaise & truffle oil dressing
  • Side of Roman fries with parmesan, truffle and rosemary

The Wagyu beef burger was as expected, as it was still pink in the middle; however I personally would have liked a little more blue cheese. The steak sandwich was okay and there is a subtle truffle oil flavour to the dish. Unfortunately the dishes don’t come with fries so we had to order that as an additional on the side. Overall, it was a pretty average experience given the price, the quality and the service and thus I wouldn’t come back for a meal - I would personally keep it a drinks only venue as they do have a pleasant covered outdoor area which would be lovely in the summer (and shielded us from the recent crazy downpour).

Good For: casual drinks or work drinks.

Such a great venue, the outdoor space is amazing. The staff are so friendly and really listened to our requirements! Definitely booking again! 👍🏻

Amazing bar with great cocktails - love the terraces and the super friendly staff
