Summer is all about trying new things – and no, we don’t mean sitting at a different table in your favourite beer garden. We mean fresh flavours, vibey venues and maybe even a photo or two that’ll look great on your social feed. And right now, you can eat at some of the capital’s best restaurants for up to 50 percent off. How, you ask? With TheFork app, which allows you to book tables at spots all over London – and you can search by preference, location, price and availability.

But if all that decision-making seems a little overwhelming, we’ve selected five London restaurants to visit this summer – all at which you can get up to 50 percent off if you book through TheFork.

1. St Martins House

Sophisticated modern British fare is what you’ll find at this Covent Garden favourite. You can’t go wrong by starting with baked British brie with sourdough crostini, rosemary and truffle honey; and mains ranging from a steak pie to apple fig pan-seared Cotswold pork chop. Perfection.

You’ll feel right at home at this charming Hammersmith pub, located next to the beautiful Ravenscourt park. The covered garden is ideal for a long summer lunch, with sun streaming in as you enjoy high-end twists on pub classics like steak, fish and chips and burgers, alongside more left-field options like mussels cooked in white wine and cream.

This buzzing Chelsea restaurant is big on sustainability: that means farm-to-fork cooking, locally sourced seasonal produce and zero-waste methods. And of course, it’s big on flavour, too. Order from a selection of shared small plates and go on a culinary adventure: the ever-changing menu may feature dishes including ham hock and peppercorn terrine, grilled Wye Valley asparagus and a salted caramel chocolate torte with blood orange.

5. The Silver Birch

Impeccable dining meets friendly neighbourhood vibes at The Silver Birch in Chiswick. We love their dishes for their true seasonality, including those on their current Michelin Special £50 menu. From blooming onions to black summer truffles and nasturtiums - not to mention the complimentary seasonal Bellini - there are warm weather tastes threaded throughout. Oh, and we’re also rather taken with the old-school desserts. Knickerbocker Glory, anyone?
