Feng Shang Princess Floating Restaurant
Venue says Set in the splendour of Regents Park, is the magnificently hand crafted and first floating restaurant of it's kind in London

This is no ordinary Chinese restaurant. Situated in the Cumberland Basin near Primrose Hill, Feng Shang Princess is an ornate, three-tiered floating pagoda in classic Chinese red, with lanterns swinging along each side. It's quite a sight to behold and with a menu to match. Inside the modest space are circular tables surrounded by plump leather chairs where diners can tuck into East Asian cuisine from China, of course, but also Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia and Japan. Stir-fried seafood, vegetables and noodles of all kinds abound, but other items such as curried beef, crispy duck, smoked chicken and sour soups also feature.

An amazing restaurant experience which is extremely unique, dining while afloat on Regent's Canal. Excellent customer service as our waiter was friendly and helpful with dietary requirements. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals as I had mock-duck pancakes which was ever so fun preparing myself. Fresh cucumber, spring onion, spiraled carrot, crispy mock duck and plum sauce were the components I assembled in thin steamed pancake sheets. This was a very authentic Chinese experience which I would happily do again.

Lovely typical faded opulence of any Chinese restaurant with the added novelty of being on the canal. No problems with the food though nothing sprung out as being particularly noteworthy, it's your typical Chinese fare. Really it was the novelty factor of being on a boat that made me want to try this out and there's a nice view of the canal once you're on there, though I have to say, living on a boat myself, it doesn't reeeaaally feel like you're on a boat. But recommend for the atmosphere and a fun Chinese meal out.
