I’m staying close by and decided to order some takeaway when I came across Firecracker in one of the delivery apps.
Absolutely loved it.
Great flavours and great portions.
Can't wait to visit the restaurant soon.
I have mixed feelings about this place. I went there with some friends to enjoy some good food and a bit of Karaoke, and that's probably the only thing we got. There are no extra frills with this place, and that includes the service (even when you're paying £500 quid for a room.) The staff were very abrupt, and it felt like we were being rushed to finish our food. The food was pretty good, and came out very quickly but the lack of friendliness from the waiters dampened the atmosphere during dinner. Luckily, I was with a fun bunch of people who know how to have fun in any circumstance, so with a bit of booze and a couple of mics we all transformed into Drake, Craig David and Madonna as we sang the night away. You can probably enjoy this place if you walk in with low expectations. The food is good and the Karaoke is better, so as long as you know what you're getting you'll have a good night.
Firecracker is a hidden gem, located below street level on Horseferry Road, just off Millbank. Modern/contemporary dining - great selection of Oriental Asian food, the staff are attentive and the service is outstanding.
Our first experience here was a couple of years ago, a big group of us came here for karaoke (yes, there are karaoke rooms!) followed by food from the set menus.
We have been here a few times since, so we have some favourites -inside out chicken wings, jasmine smoked ribs, chicken and kim chi gyosa, rib eye beef in black bean sauce, sea food hot pot....I can go on! We had lamb shank red curry, which was tender and succulent although not very curry like but tasty all the same.
The list of cocktails are adequate - I recommend the Momo Shochu.
Definitely give this place a go!
