Time Out says

A neat little Japanese restaurant with dark decor and lots of wood furnishings. The sushi is reasonably priced and well made. Maki starts at £2 for eight rolls, while sashimi (five pieces) starts at £5.25. They also serve bowls of ramen, bento boxes and katsu curries. The waiters are attentive and easy to get hold of if they're not checking on you.

I made a phone order at 20:13. Was told it would be up to 1 hour, which I accepted.
After an hour and a half, I called to see how they were getting on.  I spoke to someone calling himself Manish. There was no apology for the delay, and he said the driver was “10 minutes” away (I live less than 10 mins’ drive from Fuji).  I expressed concern that the food would be cold and he assured me it would not be.

The driver eventually arrived an hour and 45 mins after the order. The food WAS cold.

I called back and again spoke to Manish. I asked what he could do for me to account for late cold food.  He said “I can say 100 % that the food is not cold”, effectively calling me a liar. Manish then made an astonishing statement. He said “I can give you a refund, but your account here will be cancelled and you can never order from us again”.  I’ve spent hundreds of pounds in the place, and I regret every penny.

It’s hard to describe here how rude, dismissive and off hand Manish was. It was as if he’d written me off as a customer and decided no level of courtesy was now necessary.  He repeatedly interrupted and talked over me.  When I asked his name and whether he was the manager, he mumbled his responses and said “I am the manager tonight”.  Eventually he told me the manager was Shanu.

I have never been treated with such utter contempt by any business, and I thought it was imperative that I let as many people as possible hear of my experience.

Please, please, please avoid this shambolic establishment!

This place is across the road from The Waiting Room, so we dropped in for a bite to eat before a gig there. It's just simple Japanese food, well done at excellent prices. Deep-fried aubergine and roe gunkan were the highlights but there's a very long menu to explore. I'll be back.

Great value Japanese joint on the end of Church Street. We shared 2 sushi platters between 6 of us then had a noodle dish each. I had the seafood udon noodles and they were delicious. All the food and the house wine was excellent value for a sit-down Japanese meal in London, and I will definitely be returning!

Decent Sushi at a decent price.  I opted for the Salmon Sashimi and Chicken Katsu Curry and both were well made and tasty.  Staff were friendly and attentive.  The restaurant often looks a bit quiet which has put me off until now but if you can look past that, and the less than authentic playlist, it's definitely worth a visit.  Good Japanese can be hard to come by.
