Firstly - yes, the view is pretty spectacular.  When you book request a window seat (upstairs!) for the best possible views of Tower Bridge.

Secondly - the food is pretty good too.

However, it was the service that really pushed this from a 3star to 4star in my opinion.  We were rather clueless as to which cut to order and our waiter offered to talk us through it without being at all patronising. He brought over examples of all that was on the menu so we could see for ourselves what we'd be getting.

Guess what? I am reviewing ANOTHER roast dinner (Did i mention i have do about 40 now?!)

I had a lovely glass of bubbles to start along with some fine red wine recommended by our waiter - we opted for a carafe. Gaucho serve you a lovely bread with some fresh butter. We knew we wanted the roast and its a beef or beef roast here ! No surprise for an Argentinian restaurant. You just pick medium or well done! I opted for Medium.

The venue is smart, sleek and pretty large, it was half full on my visit. The roast is £20 so not bad - meat is good (i have had better) but the brocolli with it was overpowering with like a Chinese sauce and spice? took over the plate and taste buds! Roast potatoes were ok (had lots better) but other veg was nice. Gravy was tasty but too thin, Yorkshire pudd was ok.

Service is obviously really good and so it should be for Gaucho. I'd maybe recommend for a meal but not a roast

Do great Argentinian steak. There are a few branches but in terms of location, ambience and atmosphere the one by Tower Bridge has to be one of the best. If you visit during the evening you get the fantastic back drop of the bridge all lit up at night along with the London skyline in view. Having been to Argentina I can say that the steak here is good, staff will show you all the different types and cuts and are very accommodating. The churrasco cuts are amazing with a fair distribution of fat running through. The chimichurri sauce is an excellent accompaniment to the steak best served medium rare. The decor is quite dark with lots of chandeliers and cow hide everywhere that I didn't like personally but fits in well with the theme.

For many years of not eating red meat - Gaucho converted me into loving steak!  I really enjoyed the LOMO FILLET so Lean and tender with a delicate flavour.  The décor is divine and we enjoyed live music.  Just delicious!
