Time Out says

A bistro and wine bar on Portobello Road, promising an all-day menu. As well as more traditional brunch and lunch dishes like avocado toast and roast dinners, you can expect more adventurous tapas-style small plates including hake ceviche with almond milk, and brioche with kaya jam (an Asian coconut and pandan leaf spread). There’s also cocktails and coffee available alongside the wines.

A little gem just off Portobello Road! We visited Goode & Wright right before spending the afternoon shopping at Portobello Market and we found there one of my favourite brunches in London: food is delicious (I had the classic eggs royale), portions are huge and staff is lovely, all for a really reasonable price (paid about £12 for a brunch main and a coffee with service charge). The restaurant itself looks like a French cafe, all made of wood and is very comfy for a winter weekend. I will definitely go back!

I have walked down Portobello Road so many times, it being one of my favourite places in London, and not noticed this little gem! I asked a friend to meet me here for brunch, who was even allowed to bring her dog along, yay for dog friendly restaurants! On a Saturday afternoon, it was surprisingly quiet which made it feel like a safe haven from the manic rush of Portobello. I ordered a green juice whilst my friend ordered a rum and coke, catering for all needs! The brunch menu has your usual variations of egg, bacon and avocado, as well as some unusual options. I was feeling like trying something a bit different and clearly so was my friend, we both ended up getting the Placki Potato Pancake which was kind of like a hash brown with Mushrooms, halloumi cheese & poached eggs; we wiped our plates clean. I recommend trying this as it was absolute brunch perfection (picture below). We ended up paying about £15 each which included service charge which considering the great food, service, relaxed atmosphere and dog friendliness it was worth every penny.

This place has been on my list to try for brunch for ages so I booked a table for my friend and me when she visited back in July. A lovely sunny day meant a leisurely stroll down Portobello Road Market to Good & Wright. We were seated straight away but we asked to move to the seat by the window which they didn't seem to mind - although the waiter was a little grumpy!

We browsed the menu and the waitresses gave us plenty of time to choose from the brunch menu - there is so much stuff I want to try including the brioche and hazelnut spread! I went for the french toast with maple bacon which was amazing and my friend went for the scrabbled eggs on toast, which although looked fairly simple were apparently delicious (plenty of egg to toast ratio). We also shared the bacon and avocado brioche roll which for £5 was such a bargain. DELICIOUS! Would definitely go again as at £15 each for the above and a bucks fizz it was well worth the money especially for quality of food! The waiters and waitresses could do with smiling a bit more though! Also looking forward to trying the evening/ lunch menu! #TOTastemaker
