Each day, two specials, nearly always slow-cooked. Always more tasty than most other places. I am a regular!
Only been there for breakfast and have been most disappointed by the service. The staff were disoriented and couldn't cope with servicing the five or so tables upon our last visit in February, to the extent that coffee took 25 minutes to arrive, parts of the order were brought cold and others forgotten. Not too sure how they cope with their new dinner service, although maybe if it is just one couple per evening, they can just about cope! Not returning anytime soon.
We had such a lovely meal here last Saturday evening. I love Guy Awford as a chef and I believe he is involved in this venture. Restaurant is only open wednesday to saturday evenings and has limited space so it's important to book. We had Lamb which was done to perfection and a haddock rissoto (or it could have been mackerel) it was beautiful. The only thing that let it down was the fact it was so cold outside and they struggled to get it warm inside. Hate being cold in a restaurant. if it wasnt for that I would have given it 5 stars. Staff were also very helpful and polite. Will be back in Spring
