Really tasty, fresh Japanese food. The aforementioned rolls made a filling starter and my chicken katsu curry was delicious. Good choice of drinks too. Overall, like a friendlier, more local version of Wagamama.

Nice food and very nice staff. We tried most things but found the portions small for the price (£13 for sushi rolls - this would usually get you magnificent rolls elsewhere but these were small and ok - £8 would be more reasonable). For price/quality, it doesn't compete with places like cocoro (yes, better value in marylebone!), camden's asakusa, and eat tokyo. Having said that, it is a nice place and worth trying if you don't want to go further afield

Had Sunday lunch here today and did as much of a tour of the menu as possible. It's a great diner-style place (like Taro in Soho): the buns mentioned by Sheena are fantastic, the sushi was simple and very good (especially for the price), and various other bits (fried chicken, gyoza etc) were really excellent. A wonderful neighbourhood addition.

Just ordered takeout from Hibagon and it was really delicious. We had Hirata buns (which were so tasty), satisfying duck ramen and yummy tuna rolls. Friendly staff and great food make this a great addition to the Kirkdale strip. Well worth a visit.
