This new Marble Arch restaurant and bar represents the first international expansion from a well-known venue of the same name over in New York. It looks like they've spared very little expense on the London outpost.
There's an American slant to the menu, with influence taken from elsewhere too. Expect, then, flat iron steaks, chicken and waffles, oysters Rockefeller and truffle mac 'n' cheese alongside butternut squash risotto, blistered padron peppers and braised octopus with chickpea purée, fried chorizo, green harissa and micro coriander.
The wine list covers worlds old and new, with bottles ranging from a Cotes du Rhone at £36 to a 1979 Petrus at just over two and a half grand. Twenty bottles are available by the glass. Cocktails include a libertine (London dry gin, Strega, cucumber, lime and Fever Tree tonic) and a summer times (gin, vodka, yellow watermelon, lemon and thyme).
