Good things - amazing location with a laid back vibe, American diner theme with red booths, lots of cool people, nice drinks. Not so amazing - service could be better as our waiter kept filling up wine glasses before we'd managed to take a sip. Food was nice but I was expecting better. I had steak and it was rubbery in places. But they didn't rush us, it wasn't too noisy and I'd definitely go back. Sorry about the worlds worst picture!

This hotel-restaurant is one of my new favourite spots in the city. It's proximity to Old Street is useful, and benefits from a handy online booking system (good for groups) with no annoying deposits or anything. The ambience is perfect, and so is the plush New York diner-style interior. Staff are friendly and there is no rush to leave (we had our table for 3 hours).

There's an open-facing kitchen, outdoor terrace area, big open plan layout and dedicated workspace/seating area at the front making the Hoxton suitable for every type of occasion: al fresco lunch, brunch with friends, work meetings or dinner dates. Prices are very reasonable and I can recommend the blueberry pancakes at brunch with a side of scrambled eggs, plus the carrot cake, which is divine.

If you haven't been to Hoxton Grill for brunch, put it at the top of your to do list. But before you go, sign up for Friends of Hoxton and receive a whooping 50% off the entire bill (drinks included) at the weekends 12-5pm.

Brunch is something that is done very well all over the city, but this place is no different and is now one of my go to spots. Great ambience and very pleasant staff add to the experience and the decour of the Hoxton Hotel which it is located in is very eye pleasing.

Even without the 50% off it won't break the bank, a great place to catch up with friends only a 5 minute stroll from Old Street Station.

Around Old Street there is an abundance of brunch and coffee places that this spot is often overlooked. Hoxton Grill is a really nice place to meet and catch up for a quick drink or bite to eat. I love the layout of this place. Once through the entrance there is a really cosy atmosphere with open fireplaces, comfy sofas and cushions and shelves of books. There is a small counter where you can quickly grab bake goods, fresh juices and hot beverages. Further inside this is where you can sit for lunch or dinner if you wanted to eat something more substantial. There is instantly a retro diner vibe with classic red leather seats. The brunch we had was delicious; the Eggs Royale and Florentine were perfect and the coffees and juices were really good too. The service was efficient and relaxed, I found the staff to be very attentive and friendly and they were not pushy at making us leave early either.

Over priced average food. Doorman was also very rude, even though we had a reservation. Ok for a drink but don't eat here.

As I heard that the food is good in Hoxton Grill, I thought of going with my husband there for a nice meal. I made a reservation online and got a confirmation email. On the day of reservation when we reached on time we were escorted to our table. It was not even five seconds that we settled down, a waiter came and asked if we would like to order some drinks. We said give us time. Within one min they troubled us atleast 3 times, finally we ordered food. It was really good. After we were done with our main course, the waitress comes and says: "you have only 15mins as we have booked this table for 8pm would u like to order dessert," she brings the dessert menu n says just want to remind u, u have 15mins only. We are sure that this is not the waitress' problem, as she was just following orders. Ofcourse we DID NOT order dessert , we paid the bill n we left.
