Okay, my opinion of this pretty Italian restaurant just of Camden High street is everything but objective since I visited it for the first time at the occasion of the surprise dinner party my fabulous boyfriend had organised me with all of my closest friends. But I must say, even if I hadn't already been filled with love and happiness, Il Sugo would've brought warmth to my little heart. Lovely staff that calls you by your name (which they knew, somehow), simple but tasty food – I had the polpetti (meat balls in a delicious tomatoe sauce) and pasta of the day (salmon linguine – to die for!) which was less than a tenner! What else could you ask for?

Amazing cosy and romantic little hidden gem! The food is amazing and the service is incredible! Loved it so much that we come back once a week! If you are in Camden, do your taste buds a favour and come experience it for yourself :)

This restaurant is my favorite lately (and I have been living in central London for many years). Staff is friendly, service is excellent, food is good and most importantly... they don't charge you a lot of money simply because it is located in this tourist area. They don't give you the ingredients based on cost but quality. The arancini balls were filled in with a lot of mozzarella, the bruschetta were very nice and crispy, the seafood pasta was creamy but you can still taste the beauty of the wine, finally, if you are like me... whenever looking at a meun and you would look at the desserts section first, this restaurant is what you need. I came here 3 nights just for their desserts which are all homemade! The cheesecake was rich but it melt in your mouth immediately. The chocolate cake was warm and mixed with cold vanilla ice ream was just perfect. The panna cotta was great as well. It was not too sweet, you don't just taste of pineapple juice from a can. This was the best panna cotta I have tried. People may argue that some other restaurants taste better, but when you experience the service and looking at a bill that is not £100+, you will definitely have a smile on your face! No matter if I am having a date or having a group dinner with my girls, this will be my choice.

This is such an amazing resteraunt. The food is incredible and the prices are so reasonable. We go there almost every week! Love, love, love it! It is the best resteraunt in Camden Town.

I am quite a fussy eater and managed to come across this restaurant whilst shopping in Camden. Its just off the High street so pretty convenient. The restaurant is cosy with a warm romantic feeling (great for a date) - its family ran so the staff are very friendly. The food was top class, I would definitely recommend the polenta chips and pizzas!! If you are after good food which is reasonably priced then this is the place to be. Its now one of my top 3 restaurants and shall be returning soon.

Great Italian restaurant. Lived in Italy for a year and havent been able to find affordable authentic Italian food since. Usually just pizzas and pasta but this place represents the true variety of Italian food. Now one of my favorites!

I tried out Il sugo after being recommended buy a friend and was not dissapionted. The restaurant is inviting with a romantic feel. The staff are friendly and gave an excellent service. But the thing that really wowed for us was the food! Simply delicious. Good Italian dishes that taste amazing. We will defiantly be returning again soon.

It is very unusual to find a perfect restaurant with a quiet and romantic atmosphere in Camden town, but Il Sugo certainly managed to convince me otherwise. The food was rich, enjoyable and authentically Italian and the Pate Di Fegatini Di Pollo was certainly my favorite starter of the night. I think I had 4 of those. I'll definitely be going back! DK
