A sophisticated-looking two-floor bar and restaurant in Mayfair serving a menu of Mediterranean small plates.
Isabel Mayfair says
Isabel is a restaurant and bar on London’s Albemarle Street. Nestled into an elegant pocket of central London, the irreverent and spirited character of Isabel belies the more genteel nature of the area. Isabel is a destination where style, glamour and a lively Latin vibe all meet – whether it’s for brunch, lunch, cocktails or dinner.
An imaginative food and drink menu derives from the essence and traditions of Mediterranean cuisines. Diners will detect a stronger leaning towards Italian cuisines, with a number of seafood plates and freshly made pasta courses. Pasta made in-house daily includes an agnolotti with spinach and ricotta, lemon, fresh herbs and pecorino romano; and a tagliolini dish with fresh crab, chilli, lemon and parsley. The salads stand out on the menu, not only due to their original and liberal combination of ingredients but also their rich and colourful appearance.
An expansive list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails features both the time-honoured classics alongside more inventive, refreshing and seasonal styles. A beautifully crafted wine list opens up a world of sophisticated taste from the established wineries of France to the enterprising vineyards of Patagonia.
All of this comes together in a vibrant space designed by restaurateur and designer, Juan Santa Cruz, featuring an expansive silk jacquard backdrop by fashion designer Johanna Ortiz.
