Jade Cottage Siu Siu BBQ
Time Out says
Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.
There’s an element of DIY at this Hendon Chinese restaurant, with many of the skewers given to diners to cook themselves on a smokeless hibachi grill. They reckon that ‘everyone can be a five-star chef here’, which is nice to know. And the Siu Siu name? It’s from a Chinese double entendre, meaning both ‘smile’ and ‘barbecue’.
Those skewers include lamb, chicken, pork belly, duck and beef, all marinated before they hit the grill. They’re served alongside tofu salad, Japanese noodles, crispy whitebait and gyoza, as well as more adventurous items such as chicken hearts, pig liver, beef tongue and chitterlings - a dish made from pork intestines.
