I was gobsmacked by the opulence of the interior which is wasted on what is essentially a very commercialised chain... The arancini was stale but the beetroot tartare was great. I enjoyed the entrees but would have preferred my green olives to be crunchier. Still our orders were very efficient and we really cleaned up our plates!

First off the space here is amazing. It has all the opulence you'd expect from a City building. Large open counters adorned with hams and rows,of,alcohol greet you. The combination of these with the vast ceilings, but then also more private nooks scattered around gives place a high end feel. The food is obviously Italian and I think they've done a pretty good job at trying to introduce more authentic cooking while trying to provide the americanised staples to please the crowd. The menu always has seasonable dishes and the food is good. Somewhere along the way of creating this more authentic Italian dining experience though they decided to charge £15 for a bowl of pasta.

When you take prices into account and the lack of atmosphere you realise that you'd rather be in a local Italian, with all the hussle and bustle. However if you compare to the other chains out there this a leaps ahead in terms of concept and quality of food.
