This place is the utopian dream. It describes itself as a 'coffee shop with a conscience' and it could not be more apt- they do work with multiple charities and use all the profits they make in the cafe to go out and do good work in the community. As well as being delicious and GORGEOUS, the cakes are made by Luminary Bakery who employ women from vulnerable situations and provide them with skills and support.

Holistic, wholesome and the best way to have your charitable cake and eat it.

If you're looking for a place to work, study, enjoy a coffee with friends and simply take a pause for a very worthy cause, Kahaila Cafe is your place! It's is a nice not-for profit café where the benefits go to local community project. I often stop there when I'm in Shoreditch area, the staff is very friendly and they always take the time to chat with you even if they are busy. They offer a great selection of sandwiches and cakes. I highly recommend their red velvet cake which fabulous!

Super friendly staff, a huge range of delicious cakes, and excellent coffee. They have lots of space which is good as this place is very popular, with good reason!

This is wonderful cafe, you order as you come in, and then take a seat wherever. They have the usual free wifi but their cakes make them stand out. The staff is incredibly friendly, one of my friends was even allowed to throw a university workshop there. They have different art work every time I go, and it's displayed on all the walls. The affordable coffee makes you want to stay there all day. It's a great place to have a meeting or just focus on your work or a book. What makes this place even better is that it's a not-for-profit and they try to focus their extra energy on helping the community around them.
