Kebab Kid

A cut above your typical kebab joint, this cash-only hole-in-the-wall uses prime meat sourced direct from Smithfield market.

Our warm chicken shawarma, though moist and with nicely charred edges, was a little bland, but the addition of tangy, chilli-spiked taramasalata (recommended as a side) improved the overall dish. Served with salad in a warmed pitta, we also had the choice of barbecue or chilli sauce.

For take-away fare it’s a little on the pricey side, but judging by the long weekday queues snaking out of the door, the locals think it’s worth it.

Delicious (and potentially healthy?!) Shwarma kebabs with elegantly fast service. Excellent baclava too if you can handle it.

Hello Time Out - it might be an idea to try their lamb kebab and then rewrite a new review. It is the best lamb shawarma you will ever eat.

Spotlessly clean, fresh food, well prepared...and the best chips ever made from Maris Piper potatoes!
