I am absolutely appalled by what has happened this evening. Kitcho is outsourcing its takeaway items to a cheap Chinese restaurant. Our 'ramen' arrived - instant noodles, oily soup, none of the advertised bamboo, no spinach, no black fungus, no egg, no char sui pork. We paid over thirty pounds and yet when the Chinese printed receipt arrived, the total was twenty-one pounds, meaning on top of all of this we have also been overcharged. When I called the restaurant to confront and fix this serious issue, my integrity was called into question. As someone who has worked in a Japanese restaurant in the past, I am astounded and disgusted by the manners and quality of 'food' that we were supposed to sit back and accept. Usually we would simply never use this restaurant again, however because of the disgraceful impact of this situation we will now be talking to those with higher authority, because we believe it is completely against the most basic principles of a restaurant to falsely advertise the contents of their food and not state that another restaurant will be making it.

Good value for money, food was authentic Japanese! We ordered the kitcho sashimi platter, mango dragon roll, tornado maki, agedashi tofu, Saba shioyaki and grilled aubergine. all the dishes were fantastic. Sashimi was fresh and delicious! A nice surprise was the yuzu cheesecake which I'll highly recommend.

Gave it four stars as service was a little slow but the staff were all very friendly. Saw that there was hotpot as well so definitely going back to try!

All in all, a good experience and didn't cost a bomb at all:) highly recommended for good Japanese food!

Absolutely DELICIOUS sushi, teppanyaki, tempura, noodles and donburi. Very reasonable prices. I would eat here every day if I could.

Excellent food,Brilliant customer service. A night to treasure with a loved one. Value for money

We are regulars at Kitcho, it's our favourite local restaurant. The sashimi is out of this world, and never fails to disappoint.

Really high quality food. friendly service. very reasonably priced.

Excellent dining! Very tasty, fresh food. A little on the pricey side, but the decor, would warn u of this before looking at the menu. Still worth it in my books

We stumbled across this lovely inconspicuous restaurant after an archery session. It looks small from the outside but it's fairly spacious inside. There was a decent ramp for me to wheel up so I was happy to give it a try. A good range of choice on the menu and true to Japanese nature, they didn't serve certain items on the menu because the person who specialised in it wasn't in and they didn't want to give us anything which wasn't done properly to a high spec. I much appreciated their honesty rather them half attempting it. The waiting staff were Japanese which gave the place a more authentic feel and it didn't look cheap or tacky at all. I didn't have anything bad to say about the food and when asked for the dessert menu, the manager brought out a tray of what was available so we could take our pick. The green tea with white chocolate tart was so good and you can never go wrong with ice cream mochi. They even have a karaoke room! Fully wheelchair accessible, good food at a decent price and great service so it's thumbs up from me 👍

Being so close to my office, Kitcho is the perfect spot for a hot spicy lunch. They have a great lunch deal from which I opted for the chicken katsu curry, which is always fresh, creamy and filling. The service is super friendly and welcoming in the small but elegant interior. Food does take a while to arrive but they are more than willing for you to pre order, which is perfect in the case of a 1 hour lunch break.
