Time Out says
Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.
It's all - well, mostly - about the charcoal grill at this Turkish restaurant in Kennington. It's also pretty close to the Imperial War Museum, so if looking at instruments of war and peace stir an appetite, you can always get your fill here.
It's a slick looking restaurant, serving classic eastern-Mediterranean/Turkish food. Expect mezze dishes of tabbouleh, baba ganoush and sautéed chicken livers with baby spinach and mixed leaves alongside charcoal-grilled lamb shish, chicken wings, lamb chops, fillet steak and sea bass, cooked whole and served with potato puree and grilled veg.
House specials include slow-roast lamb shank with smoked aubergine, a mushroom and barley risotto and a lamb demi-glace, and oven-cooked chicken guvech – a traditional Turkish stew made in an earthenware pot.
We have a wide range of cocktails on offer as well as traditional Turkish beers and wines.
We are two minutes away from North Lambeth station and seven minutes from Waterloo.
