Lovely French restaurant. The set menu is £25 which is very reasonable for three courses. However, I chose to only have a starter and a main, and I could not finish! The portions are very generous for meat, a little less for seafood. The pork with lentils and mashed potatoes was really tender. You can see that the quality is there and the products are fresh. I shared a sweet crepe for dessert, and I would like to come back to try the savoury options. The atmosphere is lovely, great for a date pr family night. We decided to change tables and the staff made it really easy.

La Petite Auberge is situated in a competitive spot on Upper Street, with a variety of good quality restaurants on its door step. The cuisine is classic French - duck, baked Camembert and crepes are all on the menu. I've been a couple of times and was most pleased with my recent choice of mussels for main. The portion was huge and they were delicious. If you're vegan there isn't a huge amount of choice for you at La Petite Auberge, so check the menu before coming. The wine is delicious, we had a chotes du Rhone which was well priced and fruity. Overall, the atmosphere is homely, the food and wine is good, the price isn't cheap or extortionately expensive, but is probably recommend the lunch menu for a good deal.

Really enjoyed lunch in the sunshine at this restaurant today. They do a great set menu deal (£9.95 for 2 courses or £11.95 for 3) with lots of tasty options. The wine list is great too and reasonably priced. I always thought Le Mercury was the best French cuisine in Angel, but this place is definitely on par.

The food couldn't be tastier, the menu more accommodating for all, the interior any cosier and authentic, and the staff any lovelier. Upper Street's absolute gem!
