Tastemaker

A branch of the large chain restaurant that is very handy for gourmet takeaway sandwiches, hot drinks and pastries, especially if, like me, you are sitting at the bedside of relative at the Royal Free Hospital across the street and need some relief and air (and a break from the M & S and W H Smith food in the hospital). The staff are friendly, and the good and drinks are reliably god, which are very much appreciated after long days at the Royal Free.

Great for bread and take out coffee, but don't eat there. The tartine's are meagre - ordered an avocado and bean and what arrived qualified as a tartine in so much it was an open sandwich, but it had hardly seen an avocado and had a few beans scattered over the surface together with some tiny cubes of unripe tomato. The pot pie was all pastry and no filling. Massively overpriced for what it is. So disappointing as the location is great and they could do much more with it. Best avoid.
