Have you ever been to places where the menu is so large you cannot decide what to eat? You will have NO problems here. There literally is NO menu. They just serve a salad with walnuts and followed by steak frites. The only form of customisation comes with the drinks and the dessert. Don't forget to order the profiteroles! They are simply delicious. Although one might be too full after the steak frites (remember there are 2 rounds of meat and fries, not just one, as they keep back your second helping to keep it warm! What a brilliant idea!) This place is always rammed at lunch so either go early or go late. No reservations and you HAVE to have a complete party before sitting down. With all these restrictions it is fairly off-putting, but I can tell you it is worth it! Go for a business lunch for sure!

When you're as indecisive as I am then a one-dish menu is a dream, and if steak is your fancy then this place is the jackpot. Things are kept very simple here; you tell them what you drink, how you take your steak and voilà. A simple green salad to start and then a serving of perfectly cooked steak with bottomless fries.

If you're not sweating from the meat then it's the extensive list of divine desserts that'll get you. But you needn't worry because not one of the 6 that we ordered wasn't fabulous so maybe ip-dip-doo?

Steak should be simple and this place nails it... You can't book so you'll have to queue if it's busy but it's worth it.

We arrived fairly late so we were ushered straight in, they ask you how you want your steak cooked then disappear off for your starter - Walnut Salad.

This was tasty and light - mine had a little too much dressing which was pretty sharp but overall it was nice!

Then they bring your steak with their own sauce and loads of fries... It was cooked to perfection and delicious. What's also great is that they then bring you the rest which has been kept warm so just when you think you're done, just a tiny bit more arrives. And more fries if you fancy!

My only downside was the service was a little slow for us. We were told it's because they were just about to shut and had four tables (including us) come in, but this excuse fell short when we pointed out the table next to us had come in about ten minutes after us.

That aside though, the food is great. Probably one of the best steak frittes I've ever had...!
