Gentrification has been slow to arrive in this part of the world, but Homerton’s Chatsworth Road has been given a definite lift by the arrival of this delightful little operation. It’s chiefly a deli, stocked with excellent French cheeses, tempting meats, a broad and well-chosen variety of dry goods (some from France, others from elsewhere in Europe) and, unexpectedly, a fine range of wines. But it’s also got a few seats both inside and out, where locals peruse the Guardian while munching on a variety of tasty treats: Moroccan wraps, impressive quiches, freshly baked breads, rich coffees and some knockout desserts, including a sensational clafoutis. You’d certainly want one of these in your neighbourhood.

Awesome place, so much to choose from, the staff are always cheerful and helpful, and Remy, the boss is such a genuine guy
Delicious croissants and pain au chocolat. Great French style coffee too.
Always friendly and very relaxed.
we were invited to a party where the catering was done by Epicerie 56. it was delicious. fresh products, great charcuterie and cheese platters. I had to ask the host where the catering was form. will definitely call their services for my next party!
Terribly sour and abhorent female member of staff, completely lacking in manners.Service with a scowl!! Routine rudeness makes the produce less worthwhile-have stopped visiting.
