If you've been out looking for Lerryn's, but couldn't find it, worry not: it's still there! Having recently been renamed "Corals" after a long and painful legal battle with council et. al over noise and licences, the cozy and welcoming cafe has made quite the public stir by circulating a (very successful) petition which in turn inspired a great community involvement. Looks like Lerryn's heart did not only beat for Peckham but vice versa.

This said you must pay a visit to this local gem: Open from 10am until 11pm (except Tuesdays) you will find them at the top of Peckham Rye Lane. Serving food all day despite their limited cooking facilities, they focus on easy to prepare yet fanciful dishes. Toasted rolls (the halloumi - avocado - spicy chutney combination on crunchy sourdough..it was love at first bite), freshly baked cakes and treats such as salmon pickles with glass noodles (I have not tried those but it surely sounds interesting!): this is a variety which should please every type of eater.

On top of that they serve some very good cocktails, with their happy hour being Thur - Sat 6-8pm (now that's something to be happy about), which you can enjoy along with some carefully selected tunes and good vibes, you may even want to pop by when they host one of their regular events.

You can see how much love, work and effort (and signatures) went into this great little place and you'd be a fool to miss it! It's like every cup of (great) coffe, every bite of food and every foot through the door is a sign of support for a great local project.

Lerryns is a greasy spoon of a Peckham café turned ever so slightly quirky with their twist on brunch specials and inventive names.I’m talking to you, fried egg and avocado sandwich.

If you want to choose between a variety of chocolate milk, bloody Mary’s and your standard tea selection with some spruced up avocado recipes – Bob’s your Uncle.

The staff lacked a bit of flair, but you do get more bang for your buck which is at the heart of this little place.

I’ve heard it’s also great on the cheaper cocktails after dark.

Lerryn's like walking into a mate's kitchen - the space is understated with a few very cool details and the service is probably as friendly as it gets here in London. The breakfasts are great and it's definitely worth popping back in in the evenings for the happy hour. They also host great events, from music nights to coding workshops.

Whenever I don't know what to do with myself, I think Lerryn's! The first time I visited I was struck by the friendly service and super cute pastel take on everything you could want from a local cafe, and this has only continued to grow. I can't go there without bumping into a load of friends and making new ones.

Such a great little find, incredible breakfasts in a nice setting. So generous with bacon and that's what matters.

Yes to Lerryn's! It's like hanging out in someone's home, really understated and chilled out, a positive and no fuss atmosphere that's perfect for freelance working, hanging out with a friend or more by day. They have night time openings too and local people are invited to curate their own nights. Lerryn's has the air of authentic about it, and is a true independent

Love Lerryns! The coffee is delicious, and there is always something different going on down there. The highlight of Rye Lane.
