Les Deux Amies is run by – you guessed it – two French friends, who sell crêpes and galettes with the usual Nutella and banana options, plus a few nods to the 21st century in the form of salted caramel and banana jam. Prices at this inaugural café are reasonable but the setting is a teensy bit lifeless. Coffee should be avoided at all costs – a cappuccino was mostly frothless milk; an Americano weak and watery; and a request for an (admittedly off-menu) flat white was met with confusion.
