Next door to Sainsburys in South Wimbledon (BYOB fans please note), this family-run Vietnamese restaurant likes to keep things casual: there’s no standing on ceremony, the food comes fast and it’s pretty authentic too. Big bowls of pho and ‘bun’ noodles are among the favourites, although the menu takes in everything from summer rolls, fragrant salads and chicken wings with fish sauce to bánh xeo pancakes, wok-fried dishes, curries, steamed banana pudding and che ba mau – a ‘rainbow dessert’ involving beans, pandan jellies, coconut milk, sugar and crushed ice. The restaurant sells some Vietnamese beers as well as cocktails and wines, but you can also BYO for a small charge (£3 wine, £1 beer). Note: cash only.
