Masala Zone Islington

The Masala Zone chain offers a persuasive mix of good cooking, keen prices, swish surroundings and friendly service.

The walls of the restaurant feature stunning murals offset by brass grills. The bespoke glass dividers and brass pots on display all add a subtle hint of sophistication that make it the ideal setting for fun lunches or stylish dinners.

On warmer days, you’ll find friends, mothers & shoppers from the neighbourhood watching the world go by from the patio while the friendly staff treat them to their new menu.

The menu is full of punchy flavours and features a satisfying variety of thalis (grand and regular), as well as meat grills, regional curries, biryanis served with dal and both hot and cold street snacks.

This is a nice Indian restaurant in Islington High Street. It is very good value, the Thalis are very tasty and are a good choice if you are new to Indian food. There is a big choice on your tray and its not overly spicy even if you choose a dish that is marked as hot. The service was excellent and I loved the décor.

It is right next door to screen on the green if you are looking for a place to eat before or after a film.

A great selection of street food of India- Pani puri, papri chaat, samosas, pav bhaji as starters and Prawn malai for mains... cant belive such an excellent flavours away from India. The best rasmalai i ever had and with very helpful & smiley staff it was just a treat. Great value for money....will be back again soon

It looks like this branch just had a refurb, everything looks new fresh and clean. This is a very nice place for those who like authentic indian food. I recommend a thali, where you get several different dishes served on a metal plate. If you prefer white tablecloth and posh dining, go somewhere else!

The meal I had here was wonderful, it was delicious, varied,at least 7 items in my plate, divine. We had limited time but the meal was delivered as fast as we had asked and was reasonably priced. Cannot fault it. The restaurant looks newly decorated and very colourful warm and inviting.

Visited this restaurant with family members who are not major lovers of curries but I wanted to change their minds. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were made to feel very welcome. The pre 6.30pm menu is great value for 2 courses - we decided to have starters and mains. Food was fresh, hot and very very tasty. Even the non curry lovers were suitably impressed.
