I loveeeeee Megan's and so happy this has come to Clapham as my wife and I used to travel to the Kings Road location. Megan's does what it does and it does it well. A super relaxed neighbourhood cafe & restaurant that's suitable for all occasions.

I work from home so often pop in with my laptop for coffee and eggs in the week. We visit at the weekend for lunch or dinner with  friends and often take our dog as its dog friendly. Super chilled and Megan's does the best shakshouska in London hands down. We recently had our annual uni friends Christmas party there and had their range of sharing boards (pics uploaded).

I'll start with the good stuff - the venue is beautiful and they have lots of different seating areas whether you're grabbing a quick coffee, or dining out all day. The staff are lovely too.

The food, however, is variable. One portion of scrambled eggs was beautiful and with bright a yellow orangey colour, while another was beige and flat. One portion of toast was brown and crispy, another was barely warm and hadn't seen the grill.

And beware of the side orders. I asked for a side of halloumi and got stumped for £6 for a portion of halloumi fries. Six whole pounds for about 8 fries, which I didn't discover until the bill came.

I fear that Megans is losing it's indie feel, and is instead turning into a standard chain.
