Is there anything more indulgent than fried macaroni cheese? Perfectly crisp on the outside, warm and cheesy within, the pasta ’n’ protein croquettes served out of Nanny Bills kitsch little Citroen HY are a creamy dream. With three for £5, you can pick and mix from an array of fillings including pea, mint and feta, or slow-cooked beef and ale, plus my personal favourite – wonderfully oozy pumpkin and cheddar. Croquettes not your thing? They do a mean buttermilk chicken bun (£7), too.

Nanny Bills is half way through its residency at The Shop, Kensal Rise and offers some delicious burgers – I particularly liked ‘The Jam’ – beef patty, cheese, smoked bacon, bacon jam, pink onions, gherkins and lettuce!

You must also try the halloumi nuggets, which were awesome!

So this place is now in a pop up for 3 months at the shop in Kensal Rise. Perfect for a fun night with tasty burgers and cocktails and and a DJ playing funky tunes whilst you enjoy your night. Surprisingly my favourite burger was the vegan burger, The Garden which is packed with flavour of quinoa and caramelised onion. The croquettes are also fab and the cocktails were all so good. Would recommend this for a relaxed night with friends and a fun atmosphere.
