Oui Madame

Oui Madame is a modern European restaurant in Highbury & Islington, built around seasonal sharing plates, expressive wines and a room that feels like a neighbourhood dining room rather than a “destination” spot.

The menu is tight and ingredient-led, think beef tartare with gochujang and pear, tuna tataki with yuzu-soy and shimeji, burnt carrot with savoury oats, and larger plates built for the middle of the table. The cooking leans on classical technique but isn’t afraid of Mediterranean warmth or a flash of East Asian acidity when it makes a dish sing.

Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm, with a relaxed two-floor space, close-up service and a wine list that mixes familiar European regions with a few unfiltered and offbeat bottles. Guests come for a couple of plates and a glass, or settle into a longer evening built around sharing everything.
