Piebury Corner

Restaurants, Pie and mash shop Lower Holloway
5 out of 5 stars
(26user reviews)

Well established pie café serving savoury and sweet pies and pastries to football fans and Highbury locals.

Founded in 2012, Piebury Corner calls itself a 'pie deli'. And its menu is indeed dominated by different kinds of meat and poultry in a pastry case. But there are also vegetarian pies, side dishes, and old-fashioned puddings as well as a long drinks list which includes ales from some of London's best-known small breweries. The pies are available to eat on the premises or take away, and they get a lot of trade from fans heading to or from the nearby Emirates Stadium. On evening match days they stay open later than the official hours.

Best Pie & Mash I've ever had in London! This is definitely my go-to cheat meal for the week...

The coolest pie shop in London, great homemade food, attentive staff, along with great tunes/DJs is a winner!

The home of football now has a home of pies just around the corner from the Arsenal stadium. A great vibe on matchdays but even better during the week when you can eat, drink and relax without too much hustle and bustle. Mine's a Dennis Bergkamp.

Not only the best scotch pies in England but great atmosphere great staff and great music

Great menu, versatile and homely. Amazing choice of beers. Friendly staff, great tunes and one of the only places to be on match days. Would highly recommend

Fantastic pies, great selection of drinks, amazing music played on 7" vinyl on matchdays - this place is the real deal, highly recommended!!

Came here on a punt, as we had plans for dinner already but the pie was taunting me so in we went.

Staff were warm and friendly and gave us a quick run down. I had steak and guinness pie while my husband hand the venison. Of course we went for mach, gravy and a single portion of peas (which they nicely assure us was enough for two).

We had to wait for the venison (which she explained and we were fine with) so took a seat outside with our drinks and waited. They had an impressive local beer selection which made the hubby happy. The food arrived and oh boy were we excited!

The pies are of a normal size, but as your mum always said, it is what is on the inside the counts. Bursting with delicious morsels of meat which melted in your mouth. Paired with the thinkc gravy and sinfully smooth mash-- an amazing meal.

Fantastic pies for sale here, with a large Arsenal-inspired menu with each one named after a famous footballer. These aren't your standard pie shop pies which are bought in bulk, soggy pastry and distinct lack of any filling! These pies have crispy pastry, are packed to the brim with meat and veg and are full of flavour.

Personal favourite is the Theo Walcott (jerk chicken) pie, plus the red wine gravy is fantastic. You get a choice of other sides too including roast potatoes, mint peas or salad.

Only gripe with this place is that it's only open for 3 days a week! But they're on Deliveroo, have a deli where you can buy their pies cold from, and they serve tons of craft beer. Happy days all around!

Being French, I was quite sceptical of the whole food inside a pastry type of thing but this place converted me. I absolutely love all the pies there. They’re always so full of flavours. I highly recommend the Steak and Kidney one – yum! You can add sides and other bites to your order and pick small brewery ales or a glass of cider to go with it.

The shop stays open longer on match days but gets very crowded then. They also do takeaway too, just warm up your pie in the oven for a few minutes and yum.

Sometimes they even play old 70s tunes using an even older vinyl player. And then it gets really awesome. I recommend you stop by…

Great pies, a fiver a go. Good to eat on the move or take home to warm up later. Quality ingredients, lots of flavour. What else is there to say?

Wonderful pies and a wonderful Gooner theme. Best place to eat and meet up with friends before a game. Great, hard-working team of staff always make you feel welcome - however busy they are. This is a real London institution!

Easily one of the best places and most reasonably priced places i have eaten in London

While this pie shop may be the haunt of many a pre and post match attendee it is also amazing for those looking for an excellent stomach-liner for a pre drink session at any of the fine establishments around Highbury. My personal favourite is the Dennis Bergkamp and with so many great Arsenal heroes to take down or venerate (depending on your team) a weekly visit may be required.

The best pie destination in London! My favourite is the "Ian Wright" pie (lamb & veg hint of mint) - tasting is believing. Great food, drinks and brilliant atmosphere - made all the more special by it's owners and hosts Nicky & Paul. Get yourself down there for a great treat!
