Just had the Chilli Eggs - a contender for best breakfast in London.
Absolutely delicious. Served with a smile and a fresh coffee
An intimate, little rustic cafe with board written menus and outside seating.Fantastic coffee at a reasonable price and interesting combinations for breakfast.
I had the avocado salsa on toast. Very attractive and well presented dish, great flavour. A good start to morning but felt empty in the pocket after - i guess that's London for you.
Delicious food. no matter what I eat, it's always great. Excellent coffee, yummy desserts, everything is just mouthwatering.
Absolutely fantastic! Great little cafe in an area full of soulless chains. I had the Lasagne earlier and was both fresh, healthy and delicious with friendly service. The coffee is also consistently excellent serving locally roasted All Press in an area completely lacking any good coffee shops. Well recommended you won't find a nicer cafe anywhere nearby. Only drawback is that with quite limited seating it can be fairly busy at peak times so if you can it's worth trying to get there early.
I work round the corner and visit every so often for a takeaway lunch, and am then reminded why I don't go more often. Takeaways are disappointing - despite having a lovely array of salads on display, when you ask for a "pie and salad", you end up with a lukewarm pie, boxful of salad leaves, a couple of burnt red onions and if you're lucky a bean or two. Extortionate for the price you pay. Especially when you ask for "a bit of everything".
Don't order the baked eggs- tasteless and overlooked and very dry. A fresh cracked egg added in the last 2 mins of baking would have gone a long way.
Absolute first class. Just round the corner from our hotel. We're were about to go into Starbucks for breakfast when we stumbled across this place. Freshly squeezed orange juice and scrambled egg with smoked salmon to die for! Service was really friendly as well!
Great place for breakfast or brunch. It can often be crowded, but the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff somewhat offset that. The food is delicious!
Was here a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it for breakfast, small cafe with communal seating. good hot chocolates and baked eggs were good, however the scrambled eggs we quite bland, but would definitely come back.
We found it easy to get a table on a sunny Sunday afternoon (Mother's Day too). Great food - interesting, delicious, quick, fresh and very good value. We'll be back without a doubt.
GREAT food! We went there for a quick bite and ended up spending half of the afternoon... the homemade pumpkin tortellini were absolutely to die for, nothing short then real italian ones (and I am italian!). Beef lasagne were also good, as well as the soup (a delicious malaysian chicken noodle!). Deserts were just the icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, cheap eat nearby!
We came here last night because of these reviews and were disappointed. The atmosphere is quite nice, but the food was mediocre. We had veg Thai curry. The veg was very ordinary - mostly carrots, red peppers and some mini sweet corn, in a curry sauce from a jar, on a pile of quick cook rice. Sorry - not impressed. We couldn't finish our plates.
I love Pimlico Fresh but they have recently stopped doing Monmouth Coffee. I think it is such a shame. The coffee they have now is good but not as good as it was. Bring back Monmouth!
Been going here since it opened and still love it. Staff are great, food is quaity. What more could you want?
Theres lots of places in Pimlico though i must say Kazan cafe,Pat Val, le Pain,Giraffe etc have opened since this review was written so thats not really valid... They dont even sell cupcakes!!! Vegan muffin cakes maybe but not cupcakes...As far as Monmouth coffee goes theres a shop only a few doors away that also sells Monmouth and yet pimlico Fresh is still in business... As far as the seating goes it is very limited but if you wait a few minutes theres always space and its always packed in there...good on them.. The staff are always friendly and full of smiles and make time to chat with the customers... As far as other places in Pimlico theres so many i agree but they are not all cafes.... Pomegranates has been closed for a long time and About Thyme, Grumbles and Mekong are resturants not cafes.. Pimlico Fresh is a cafe..it just happens to be open late and offers a quick dinner after work or before the theatre...thats a bonus...you can get lots of vegan, gluten and wheat free food as well.. i have lived in Pimlico for over 10 years and until they came along you couldnt buy fresh juices and smoothies, porridge, organic bread, fresh salads etc and all to take out if you want.. Its been around for nearly 2 years now and everyone i know loves the place and i guess if your a local you would know more...its a real hub for the community... i would like to see it stay there and i cant see it being a passing trend with the following they have... Even the staff have been there from Day 1 which says a lot to me...
PF is a victim of its popularity - it certainly needs more seating space - but every time I've been here I've eaten very, very well. And the coffee's good too.
