It's all about the movies at this homage to all things Tinseltown. This London outpost of the global Planet Hollywood chain serves a varied, international food menu, with special focus on the USA. Think wings, pizzas, burgers, club sandwiches, steaks, racks of ribs and generous plates of pasta.
The setting provides much of the draw. This branch boasts more than 80 pieces of Hollywood memorabilia, as well as 18 screens playing a mixture of movie clips and music videos. There's usually a bit of an atmosphere to things here, so feel free to pack your party hat.
Keep an eye out for promotions, special menus and pre-theatre offers, too.
Four themed dining areas, a buzzing cocktail bar and a resident DJ every evening make Planet Hollywood one of the trendiest West End restaurants and an exciting venue for a party, birthdays, or any special occasion or celebration. It is also ideally located for pre- or post- theatre dining.
The irresistible international menu has a wide range of appetisers, burgers, club sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, ribs, steaks, fajitas, fish, Asian food, salads and delicious desserts.

I have to say I was disappointed with Planet Hollywood, especially after being so keen to try it out. I had a voucher for two for £25 and as soon as we got there we were jumped on with the staff asking for the voucher. I sent it to her via email then we were seated and again they asked for the voucher which I thought was a bit rude. The menu was very selected which is due to it being a voucher but I did feel they could have been a bit more generous. We had the chicken wings for a starter and they were horrible with a really bitter taste. The burger was okay but not fabulous and I got the impression the staff weren't too bothered simply because we weren't fully paying customers.
I have visited Planet Hollywood, London both at the old premises in Coventry Street and at the Haymarket lots of times. My most recent visit was in Septemer 2013, with my boyfriend as it was his birthday. I booked the table online before hand and mentioned it was his birthday and could we be seated in the Bond Room. Upon arrival, we were greeted by very polite staff who wished my other half a happy birthday (Good start!!) and we were ushered towards a table in the main seating area rather than where I had requested. The waitress who came to place our order was attentive and again wished my other half a happy birthday. We placed our order, I had the tortillas which were very generous portion wise, other half I think he had steak (can't remember!!) Half way through our meal on the message screen was also a message wishing my other half a happy birthday too!!! For dessert, other half had a knicker-bocker glory and when they brought out the pudding, there was a sparkler on top!!! I had my favourite which is the white chocolate bread and butter pudding with Jim Beam sauce and vanilla ice-cream. The food and a couple of drinks for the pair of us came to about £60 but as I work for the MOD, they took off a discount which made it a very reasonable £47!! A lovely treat for my other half's birthday and a great way to start the evening as went to see The Bodyguard at The Adelphi afterwards. My only complaint is that the merchandise stand is so small and the variety of merchandise is limited.
Diner in Planet Hollywood just before seeing 39 Steps, it was cool! Or Warm if you prefere : being in this nice restaurant when outside is a cold windy night is just what you need to be sure having a great experience before and during the show.
my husband is in catering and we both enjoyed our experience here. food and service was excellent. clearly the have a great formula and it works. it was very busy and we will return and tell our friends and family all about it. well done
Advertised as "still the best burger in town", don,t bother, its boring and the burgers in BKs are twice as good. For a similar price and more memorable meal try Meat Liquor, not your traditional American diner though!
Had a great time at planet hollywood! food and service was brialliant - especially the double choc brownie sundae! ill definitely be back!
Went to Planet Hollywood with the family and had a great time, service was spot on and so friendly, food was great, specially my steak, and we kept well entertained too, kids loved it. Will recommend it to everyone.
