Plumtree Cafe is truly one of a kind, especially when it comes to tourist-swarmed, lovely Greenwich.

Because the crowds don't venture further than the antiques market next to Picturehouse, this little caff remains hidden next to Sainsbury's behind a car park - if you're not attentive, you might miss it.

So keep an eye out, because apart from good prices (a rarity in Greenwich) and cute decors, this place offers huge portion sizes - my avocado and chicken sandwich was about triple the thickness of a Pret triangle - and freshness. The brown bread was soft and clearly baked on the same day, and although the chicken may have been pre-packed, it was tasty none the less.

My friend's veggie fry up came with delicious veggie sausages and because they had run out of mushroom they doubled up on the hash brown (heaven).

Everything is done by hand (the wifi code is 'We bake our own cakes'), which adds another layer of charm. The ladies behind the counter, despite the occasional grumble, are friendly and helpful. They even let you know where the parking lot's camera is installed.

Although the tables could use better wipes, and the 'help yourself to water' counter definitely needs a better system (wasn't sure if the glasses had been used or not), everything else is really tidy and pleasant.

£7.50 for a sandwich the size of my head and a big cup of tea is really nothing - I recommend this place especially if you're after some dirty, deep fried food to eat until you feel sick. Delicious and great!

Excellent and down to earth value for money food. The coffee is awesome. Cute interior.

Love this little cafe! Welcoming staff, young children's play area, great portion sizes of fresh tasting food and perfect coffee!

A charming Cafe with abundance of atmosphere, lovely staff, great setting for all ages and most of all amazing food!

Nowhere will you find more local or friendly staff. The full English is awesome & the avocado salad delicious. Love it here, they even gave our dog Nelson a loyalty card!!

Great coffee shop for mums and kids. All the cakes are made on site and taste amazing 😊

Homemade cakes, good portions of fine food, truly family friendly plus weekend pop-ups - a really brilliant little cafe in Greenwich.

This place is a must, locally made organic sausages, brilliant full English and the best coffee in Greenwich. There's a fab wooden treehouse at the back of the shop to keep younger guests entertained while mum and dad get to enjoy a cup of organic tea or a great coffee.
