Having gone here for a "The Workbench" workshop my experience might be a little biased. I think their selection of wines and beers is good for a cafe, and their coffee A+. I loved the fact that the staff didn't mind that I ordered a decaf, almond, iced latte at 7pm. And that's the kind of service that should be easy to find all over Shoreditch.

My only note is that I wish they took their Italian roots a little further offering an aperitivo option (nibbles with your drink) when open in the evening. I know I dream of eating mini pizzas whilst holding a glass of wine on the streets of Shoreditch. Why hasn't anyone done this yet?

I had some time to kill before a photoshoot down the street, so I ducked in to this little coffeeshop for my caffeine fix - and to get some work done. The service was very pleasant and fast - the woman who served me was very nice and sorted out a space for me really quickly. I sat on a booth at the side of the room and had a latte and did my work/read a mag, and just took in the sights of Shoreditch's elite moving up and down the street.

My coffee was actually really good - the only reason this place doesn't get 4 stars from me is because I turned to look at the counter at one point and the guy behind it was rolling a cigarette on the worktop, right next to the space on which food was being prepared. I thought that was gross.
