Rimini ticks all the boxes for the attributes a good neighbourhood restaurant should have. Popular, friendly and reliable, it’s the sort of place families and couples can return to again and again, safe in the knowledge that the food won’t disappoint or the surroundings change. The pizzas are thin, crisp and generous in size, while the range of specials includes the likes of breaded monkfish with prawns. Small touches add to the experience: starters of chicken liver were appropriately pink on the inside, garlic bread properly pungent, and lemon sorbet sharp and refreshing. The mainly Italian staff are always on the ball and seldom forget a face, and are happy to wash out animal-themed ice-cream bowls for the kids to take home with them.
