This is the south London outpost of the popular Kiwi-run coffee shop in Covent Garden, Bullet. As its name suggests, the beans are roasted in-store and are freshly ground to order.

And while its main attraction is undoubtedly its coffee, there's more to this place than flat-whites, espressos, macchiatos and the like. Breakfasts and brunches such as scrambled eggs and salmon and BLT sandwiches look good, as do many of the cakes.

Keep an eye out for barista skills workshops, too.

A bus ride between Wandsworth station and Clapham junction. This is a blink and you miss it kind of place. I've been 3 times now, just get a true feel. If you can find a seat straight away you're lucky I ended up at the window seats every time. The coffee is good, but expensive, brunch is the perfect cure for a hangover (grease over load), but not something I'd go out my way to get. My biggest disappointment for this pace was the staff, very dismissive and rude. Each time I found myself standing at the till ready to order and getting a look of disappointment that I was there, and once The lady behind the counter looked at me, I smiled and she sighed and carried on with what ever she was doing. Basically if I didn't live so close to it and need a decent caffeine fix, I wouldn't go.

Best coffee in South London and yes I have tried most within a two-three mile radius of Clapham.  My blind mate and I go out once a week for a long walk, to check out the wild life and feed our caffeine addiction.  We have our short list of good coffee places, but Roastery blows the doors off of any other in the area.  The staff are also really friendly and happy to discuss subject matter beyond the weather, the food is high quality, but simple and perfectly cooked. All of these things make it a 5 star for me.

Most friendly staff I have met in my 8 years in London. Great coffie, and nice bacon and sausages making it a regular breakfast for me :). P.s. kiwi v Aussie story a bit silly and hard to believe seeing as half the staff are kiwi and the only Aussie is very friendly!

I go to the Roastery regularly. It’s a small cosy cafe with its own coffee Roaster. It’s not perfect, but the staff are very friendly, and they serve great coffee. Any comments about people being anti-Kiwi are ridicules, their longer serving members of staff are Kiwi. Some people just love to talk about the same old rivalries.

Waited over 20 minutes in an empty cafe for a boiled egg and toast- the egg arrived actually raw. . . wouldn't trust a kitchen that can't even cook a boiled egg. . .
