Saigon Foods Vietnamese restaurant Catford 2015

Time Out says

A neat little Vietnamese café/deli that's decked out simply, but smartly in wood, white and green finishes. Main dishes include Pho and Bahn Mi and cost £7.85, while sides cost £4/£4.50.

Ordered x2 Pho and some Spring rolls via deliveroo.   Really really sad portion of spring rolls, x4 tiny mouthfuls for basically £7.  Pho was OK.

I'm just eating the slow cooked beef from here - it's completely delicious and the spring rolls were the best too!

Friendly service, authentic flavours and the best banh mi I've had outside of saigon.

Nice unpretentious family run snack bar in the heart of the town. Great value and delicious traditional Vietnamese food at family rates. Very pleased with experience - will definitely go again. It's right in the heart of the Catford street market which has a great Saturday selection of plants, fruit and vegetables without the prices of expensive street markets.

Delicious food and friendly service. Never seems to be very busy - local people, go and support!

Loved everything about this place - the food is so fresh, the flavours are delicious and perfectly balanced, and the portion sizes are generous but reasonably priced. The owner is warm, welcoming, and makes almost everything from scratch in the open kitchen. It is clear that a lot of care goes into each dish. The staff are absolutely lovely, especially the owner. Since the each dish is made fresh, it isn't a "fast food" restaurant, but is well worth the extra five minute wait!

I think it is also BYOB.

The interiors are simple and relaxed, with good music playing - great place to set up camp. Can't wait to go back again soon.

family run restaurant, very handy as also open in the evening. i'm half french half vietnamese and always a delight to taste some 'home' food in london. not exactly the same as in vietnam but very similar taste and they have a good selection of traditional dishes. even took my mum there, the expert. friendly owner, maybe takes 15min to prepare but very well worth the wait. read the previous comment and the user might have never tried or smelled fish sauce before although its at the basis of many viet meals! highly recommend

Terrible ! Waiting nearly an hour for my cuisine and the customer service is never exist in this place . The satff in here is really rude  I think my food today got some problem as it smell not really nice ( possibly due to expiry date for a product ) . I think I will never come back here again and I recommend all of you stay way of this place for your own safe .

Tastemaker

Bringing a taste of Vietnam to Catford this is a great spot for lunch. Run by a lovely, friendly family. The only downside is that they have scaled back on the shop they used to have which was great for South Asian cooking ingredients.
