A perfect fit for suited-and-booted Savile Row, this long-serving Italian got a brand-new outfit and a shot in the arm with the arrival of starry chef Fransceco Mazzei (better known as the driving force behind City high-roller L’Anima, RIP). The dining room looks impeccably dressed (just like its clientele), while the cooking takes its cue from Mazzei’s home region of Calabria with lots of seasonal flavours on show. To begin, you might find classic vitello tonnato or chargrilled octopus with chickpea purée and smoked ricotta, while pastas might include anything from fettuccine bolognese to burrata tortelli with ‘nduja. Moving on, expect big helpings of fritto misto, veal milanese (for sharing) or roast lamb with sweetbreads and artichokes. There’s also a terrace for those who like to eat alfresco.
