I was really looking forward to going here, but I have to say I was pretty disappointed. It's very cute inside and the menu is interesting, however many mistakes were made while we were there. My dish (eggs with falafel, hummus, halloumi & quinoa) was missing the falafel, which was brought out on a separate plate when I asked about it. The people sat on the table next to us had ordered long before us, but their food still hadn't arrived even after ours had - and when they asked about it, the waitress checked and then came back and said she had to put it through again, and didn't even aplogise. And there was a mistake with the order of the table behind us as well. The food was average, fairly bland, nothing amazing. In short, it looks and sounds better than it is. It's not bad, but it's definitely not great either.
This is a true gem in the Highbury & Islington area - don't be fooled by the front of the shop, it looks like a takeaway coffee shop. BUT there is a beautiful downstairs with lovely atmosphere and decor. The attention detail in the restaurant is top notch and in the evening it really is magical.
The brunch is a perfect European fusion with an extensive menu of breakfast not just avocado toast! They do pop up evening menus too which was super nice.
The staff are really friendly and make you feel so welcome. Get down there soon you won't be disappointed.
