Time Out says
Scoff & Banter pride themselves on making fuss-free, traditional ‘British soul food’ – free range roasted chicken, shepherds pie, ale battered haddock and the like – in similarly unstuffy, comfortable environs. Crisp whites, rich reds and beers by the bottle populate a comprehensive drinks menu.
Scoff & Banter Kensington features a popular Signature Sunday Roast, celebrating the long-standing English tradition and much-loved pastime with perfectly roasted 28-day-aged beef or corn-fed chicken, accompanied with a Yorkshire pudding, duck fat roast potatoes, buttered carrots & greens, cauliflower cheese and served with a rich bone marrow and onion gravy. With a selection of delicious starters to begin and classic desserts to finish, relive childhood memories with lovingly prepared British cooking. Served from 12pm until 5pm every Sunday at £19 per person. We also host a monthly live jazz event with award-winning jazz vocalist, Michael L. Roberts. Described as ‘soulful’ with an ‘honest, rich and distinctive sound’, Michael has enjoyed airtime on BBC Radio, TV, Jazz FM and has performed and recorded with the likes of Frank Sinatra Jr and Kurt Elling. Sit back and enjoy Michael’s performance, accompanied by our hearty British cuisine.

Very poor service and almost had an allergic episode there at the Kensington Branch because your server insisted the carrot soup had no pepper and even when I pointed out the black specks in it were pepper and I couldn’t eat it. I know this because every time I take any food with pepper in it my entire palate and throat burns and gets pustules.
Please do yourselves a favour and fire this chap in case he puts your establishment at risk of a law suit or worse a death .
I am fortunate to have carried with me my antihistamines and proceeded not to consume the carrot soup which he had insisted the black specks inside were bits of carrot.
I would have given 1 star since I have been struggling with lung congestion since and am in and out of the Doctors to have my airways checked since returning to Singapore
Bad on your team and bad on your policy!
