As a native Japanese, my Father reccommended this restaurant to me for it's authenticity paired with incredibly reasonable prices. I went here for lunch on my hen-do, and although the setting isn't glamorous, the food is delicious, truly Japanese and you leave extremely full (most of us hadn't anticipated this, and had to leave some!) I had the Bento box, which was beautiful and had dishes that complimented each other beautifully. Definitely worth going.

One of my favorite sushi eateries in London. It really does feel like a mom and pop place in Japan. Most Londoners like to frequent posh sushi joints and this place often gets missed in the list, so works out perfectly for other Londoners like me - no queue ever! I am regretting this as I type now, but I do believe in sharing. :) Sushi is fresh and tasty, hot food is great. I haven't tried their udon or ramen yet, so I can't comment on that.

Such a lovely authentic Japanese place. The food is fabulous, the interiors aren't luxurious, but the staff are wonderful and it's always busy!

Discovered it years back when working down the road. Fair prices for really good food. Well worth the visit.

Authentic Japanese cuisine, a eating place with a humble entrance, honest and modest. Fair and reasonable priced items, good for a quick lunch and dinner. Ingredients are fresh, nicely prepared and services are well commented. Highly recommended for a visit to enjoy Japanese cuisine without the worry of high price

The quality is good, the restaurant make me feel cozy and relax throughout dining. with their price and location in central London, is definitely a wise choice!

A cosy Japanese restaurant on Brewert St down the road from uber trendy Soho. This restaurant is tiny -- seated downstairs, we ordered some sushis to sample. The sushi is not the best in town, however it's value for money.

Avoid! This is the worst run restaurant I have ever encountered, with huge problems in both the menu and service. The combination of menu and service screwups meant that I left after 45 mins without eating anything. First, their menu layout and listing is bizarre, especially for the sushi - they don't list some things they actually serve (e.g. avocado rolls) and do list things they claim not to serve (e.g. eel hand roll). What they do both list on the menu and serve is very oddly represented, for example offering 16 cucumber rolls for nearly £15 but not offering any smaller number of rolls. Seriously, who orders 16 cucumber rolls?!?! When asked, they agreed to make 4 or 6 cucumber rolls, but did not provide a price. The endless menu screwups over their sushi may explain why virtually nobody in the restaurant was eating sushi (most had udon noodles). Secondly, the service was a disaster. When we tried to order from the waitress she didn't understand our order, which was not complicated, and called her boss. The boss claimed to understand our order, but told my companion that there were no eel hand rolls on their menu (despite them being listed on the menu on the window, the special menu fixed to each table, and the menus in our hands) and later proceeded to mess up 1/3 of the sushi I ordered. When I told them about the mistake and asked them to remove the incorrect rolls, they removed my entire order and never returned any of it. I left without eating anything and vowing never to return.

Did not think that this Japanese restaurant lived up to the reviews I had read. The food was expensive and very average - the sushi rolls arrived oozing with mayonnaise which was a bit odd and unexpected. As my friend is allergic to eggs, I asked them to remake the roll, as mayonnaise was not one of the ingredients mentioned on the menu - not a huge request. The waitress was very unfriendly and acted like I had asked her to do something completely extraordinary, and then proceeded to charge me extra for the remade sushi roll. In the end, the food was good, but much to expensive for what it is...maybe lunch deal is more worth it?
