Time Out says

A bar and restaurant inspired by all things Brooklyn, with a focus on craft beer.

If the name is anything to go by, this Clerkenwell Road spot has designs on bringing back a spot of British imperialism - it's a cheeky reference to Britain's 13 East Coast colonies of the 17th century. Thankfully the truth is a little less confrontational, the venue's aim being to simply bring a bit of Brooklyn to EC1.

Craft beer plays more than a small part in proceedings, with many of its bottled and canned options - including those from Brooklyn Brewery - hailing from the US. They're on the drinks list alongside seasonal cocktails, old world wines and a selection of fine whiskeys - including a few bourbons, of course.

There's a US slant to the food menu, too. Burgers are prominent (buttermilk fried chicken, beef with pulled pork, deep-fried Portobello mushroom and goat's cheese - that kind of thing), but pastrami sandwiches, macaroni cheese, charcuterie boards, wings and hefty salads also feature.
