I've taken out of town visitors - confirmed carnivores - to Omni and they've said that they would cross the Atlantic again to come back for their Tacos. Just confirms my own view that this plant-based food throws a whole new light on how vegan food can be stunning both in flavour and presentation!!
I visited Omni at The Peckham Pelican and the vegan breakfast was absolutely delicious - particularly the scrambled tofu (which I had never tasted before, but it was a great substitute to scrambled eggs). Another delicious dish were the miso arancini balls, which I could have sworn had cheese in, they were very tasty and crunchy.
Its great to see the chefs prepare the food on site, I would highly recommend Omni's food, for great vegeterian/vegan food.
Omni are the ultimate vegan chefs! I can't stop myself from going back each week to try a different dish from the ever-changing menu, and have always been wowed. The chefs seem so lovely and personable and obviously take huge care over their food. The experimentation, depth of flavour and presentation of the food really is second to none. I love how they play with different cuisines and have such a flair for combining flavour and texture in exciting ways. Undoubtedly my favourite food spot in London
Tried their food several times - never disappointed. The effort and care they put in is unbelievable.- obviously passionate about their calling and never happy to sit on their laurels. Fantastic food and fantastic value.
My wife and I went to London this past July and wandered into the Peckham Pelican for some brunch not knowing it was a vegan brunch and we're both meat eaters. I wanted to leave but my wife insisted we stay and try it. I'm so happy we did! I have to say the jack fruit corn tacos were some of the best things I've ever had in my life and, honestly, so was the rest of the food we ate there. So well prepared and so well seasoned just simply amazing food. The next time we're in London we will search their food out again.
Omni have definitely changed my perspective on Veggie and Vegan Cuisine. I never realised how much flavour and how satisfying a meal can be with just veg. Their broccoli is amazing and their jackfruit 'duck' hoisin spring rolls are honestly better than the real thing!
Holy Guacomole! These guys are incredible! They have totally made me see food in a different way. Having grown up in a meat only household for most of my life , ive always been wary of veganism but no longer!! there tofu scramble is to DIE FOR! they also make they're own vegan sauages!! VEGAN SAUSAGES! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! When friends come to visit from other countries i will always direct them to Omni. My wife and I make a concerted effort to go once a week when on the very slim occasion we are unable to our week is never as good. Another great option is the brocoli geeze my taste buds have never tasted something so scrumptious! Take it from me these guys are the best there is and will probably ever be. We can't wait to see them again
Excellent food, have tasted at Peckham Pelican, Hackney Theatre and Greenwich food market and have had the opportunity to sample many different things. Don't go there expecting to have the same thing twice because they continuously freshen up their menu to reflect local a blend of seasonal vegetables, local flavors and London-style fushions. Am usually an avid meat-eater but would definitely recommend Omni to anyone.
There is always a wide choice of dishes at Omni, both in terms of size and tastes. They really do the best broccoli in the world!
I had an Omni taster menu during one of their supper clubs at Peckham Pelican, it was SO delicious... Avocado tartare to start, an insanely tasty cauliflower 4 ways (which i was informed had 2/3 ingredients and packed an unbelievable amount of flavour for such a simple sounding dish), aubergine sambal, which was spicy and full of flavour and a vegan brownie with cocunut ice-cream to finish... It was initially intended as a sharer with a friend but was too good to share so ended up being ordered again. 10/10 would eat again!
one of the best vegan / ethical food places in london / the world? everything is so nice and they obviously put loads of work into making sure everything is made themselves. The broccoli is the best in the world
