The Sands End

Time Out says

A long-time Fulham favourite just a stroll from Chelsea Harbour, this tasteful boozer-cum-gastropub aims to bring the country to the city with its rustic-chic vibe and seasonal ‘field to fork’ cooking.

In the dining room, refectory tables and muted colours set the scene for a line-up of sophisticated pub dishes such as devilled Cornish mackerel with beetroot and dill relish, beef fillet with parsley risotto or crispy duck leg with peas, bacon, baby gem and tarragon jus. There are steaks for the carnivorous die-hards, while desserts might bring raspberries and cream or pear and pistachio tart.

Otherwise, you can hang out at the bar with a pint of real ale and a gut-filling snack – perhaps sticky chicken wings or a plate of salmon and leek fishcakes. The Sands End is also a diamond for Sunday lunch.
