I stumbled upon this lovely vegan restaurant when it was still a pop up at Old Spitafield's Market and I was very happy about my discovery as I had never had such a tasty meat-less burger. I had an Auburger and a vegan waffle and they were extremely tasty and delicious. The Auburger is a burger made out of (insert ingredients) and the waffle was made with 100% natural, vegan and organic ingredients. Now The Vurger Co has just opened a permanent site in Shoreditch and I absolutely love their values, indeed, not only are all of the dishes they offer plan-based, but the ingredients they use are organic and locally sources, together with their cutlery being all compostable. This is absolutely a place you should visit if you're into plan-based food or even if you're just looking for a healthier alternative around Shoreditch.

I’m slowly loosing track of the constant changes in my hood, there were two completely different restaurants (Tapas Revolution, I really miss you!) in this square not that long ago.

Change is good, as they say, and this new vegan burger place is definitely one of them and has a big potential to stay here longer than its predecessor.

The place is kept in pastel colours and generally feels very welcoming. There are four burgers on the menu along usual burger matching sides: from fries to mac & cheese (all vegan). Apart from that, there are coffees, soft drinks, and a few alcoholic drinks including their own brand wines and beers (all vegan too).

The MLT – mushroom, beans and parsley patty with a generous amount of amazing sundried tomato and walnut home made pesto, mountain of rocket, tomato was a perfect lunch. The only element I wasn’t sure of was the vegan cheese, but its flavour is easily lost in the well balanced flavours combination.

All the containers and cutlery they use are biodegradable, so extra star for extra effort.

I will be back soon on a less busy day to try the other tree, so please, be still there.
